Free and Open Online Courses from World-recognized Universities

Massive open online courses (MOOCs) are a great new way in providing learning opportunities on almost any topic educating the interested public, not only for those who lack access to college courses, and spreading new ideas rapidly to large numbers of people. The course structure is usually similar to college courses, but as the courses are for free, they typically do not offer academic credit, but other forms of assessment or certification may be available.
